Mr. Clanton is a Partner in KPMG’s Advisory Services practice.  Having lived in both the U.K. and the U.S, he has experience in working with both domestic and international-based companies. Ron has 25 years experience helping companies improve their market position by implementing operational changes, expanding or redefining the markets they serve, and adapting to regulatory changes.  Prior to KPMG, he served as an industry lead for an offshore outsourcing company.  Mr. Clanton leverages his combination of financial, operational, outsourcing and technology experiences to serve his clients.

His industry experience includes technology (application, network and communications), outsourcing services, banking and energy.

Ashish Shah
General Manager – GE Healthcare

Ashish Shah holds the position of General Manager for GE Healthcare’s Global Technology
Organization in India. At present he leads a team of 1000+ engineers at John F. Welch
Technology Center in Bangalore. He has 20 years of experience in the Healthcare industry
of which 17 years have been in the United States. Ashish holds Masters degree in Electrical
Engineering from Bradley University, USA and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
from L.D. College of Engineering in Ahmedabad, India. He is passionate about developing
life savings technologies and to lead globally “Early Health” vision. He has contributed
significantly over the last 2 decades towards the development of MRI, CT, X-ray,
Ultrasound, Anesthesia and information management systems. He enjoys traveling and
listening to all sorts of music.

Sangita Reddy
Executive Director
Apollo Hospitals Group

Ms. Sangita Reddy is the Executive Director (Operations) of Asia’s leading healthcare conglomerate, the Apollo Hospitals Group. 

Ms Reddy holds major leadership roles in the Group, as core member for decisions on policy, growth and strategy. Her dynamic qualities are central to the structure and values of the “Apollo Culture”. Her responsibilities extend to all the 44 hospitals of the group for the purposes of operational control across divisional heads. In addition, she holds specific functional responsibilities as Managing Director, Apollo Hyderabad division. Under her stewardship, Apollo Hyderabad has emerged as Asia’s first Health City – introducing a multidimensional holistic health care set up in India. She has been also instrumental in extending community based hospital projects, with special focus on rural areas. The concept of “Apollo Reach” is one of her ventures, aiming to build a string of secondary care hospitals in rural areas across India.

In addition, Ms Reddy is Managing Director of Apollo Health Street. Under Ms. Reddy’s guidance, Apollo has become a leading offshore services firm and provides consultancy to some of the largest US payers and providers.  Ms. Reddy has been a pioneer in advocating the benefits of the global delivery model and has helped clients in overcoming the unique challenges of working with an offshore vendor. 

Ms. Reddy also led the largest Third Party Administrator in the Indian market that services over 7 million members through its network of 27,000 hospitals. For over 20 years, Ms. Reddy has worked in multiple segments of the healthcare sector. She has presented at several international forums including The World Health Congress, The Pacific Summit etc. and has earned the respect of international healthcare leaders and has influenced the development of the healthcare information technology industry. 

Ms. Reddy is a Science graduate with honours, from the Women’s Christian College, Chennai. She has taken post graduate and executive courses in Hospital Administration from the Rutgers University and the Harvard University in the USA, and the National Singapore University in Singapore. She received the “Young Manager of the Year 1998” Award from the Hyderabad Management Association, and was awarded the “Top Woman Entrepreneur in the Information and Communication Technology Sector” by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2005 – 06.

Ms. Reddy is a member of the Rockfeller Working Group and works on the role of Private Healthcare Development. 

Ms. Reddy is also a Director of AHIL, PCR Investments Limited, Apollo Health and Lifestyle, Apollo Mumbai Hospitals Limited, Medvarsity Online Limited, Family Health Plan and Apollo Health Resources Limited.

Ms. Reddy is the daughter of Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, the Company’s Executive Chairman.

Manoj Punja
Chief Sales and Operations Officer Americas
Wipro Technologies

Manoj Punja is the Chief Sales and Operations Officer of Wipro’s IT business in the Americas. Over 60% of Wipro’s IT business is generated from the Americas. In this role, he manages Wipro’s IT business across all business units in the US, Canada and LatAm. His responsibilities include sales, client satisfaction and operations including local development centers in the Americas.

Prior to this role, Manoj served as the Global Head of the business unit for Technology, Media, Transportation, and the Services industries. In this role he was responsible for business development, competency development, client satisfaction and service delivery. Under his leadership, the business unit saw phenomenal growth with revenues that increased 10-fold in six years and a heightened global presence in the years 2002-2008.

Manoj joined Wipro in 1991. He has since led various groups in Wipro including the software products division, strategic resourcing, and sales for Asia-Pacific region. His experience spans sales, marketing, HR and operations functions.

Through his career Manoj has sought challenging and non traditional assignments He has led multiple new initiatives including those in strategic account management, talent sourcing automation and sales force transformation. Under his leadership his teams have developed pioneering new tools around Business Process Management, Governance, Integrated Publishing Platforms to name a few.

Manoj holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and a Bachelors Degree Engineering in Electronics from Bangalore University. Manoj is a part of the senior management team at Wipro and is based in New Jersey.


Case Study:

Ronald C. Marston, President and CEO of HCCA International

Mr. Marston has 30+ years in international healthcare and is known as an international authority on healthcare systems and trends worldwide.  Solid achievements in his leadership are demonstrated by the company’s growth and success during an almost three decades of economic and political change.  His belief is in the concept that each hospital is unique and the management team on site is the authority on the local market and mission of the facility.   Mr. Marston supports decentralized management while overseeing and advising the operation appropriately.  In essence he believes in the delegation of authority and accountability but not the abdication of the same.

Mr. Marston joined HCA International (now HCCA International), when the company international subsidiary of Hospital Corporation of America, in 1973 as Director of International Recruitment and relocated to London, England.  After establishing the office there he returned to Corporate Headquarters in 1974. He was promoted in January 1979 to Vice President, Finance and Administration and in July 1980 relocated again to London.   In late 1981, he was promoted to President, HCA International, Ltd. where he was responsible for all development and operations within Europe and the Middle East. In 1987, he assumed the duties as President and CEO of HCA International Company with responsibility for all development and operations internationally.  During this period of time, under Mr. Marston’s leadership, HCA International grew to include 10 hospitals and 7 nursing homes in the United Kingdom; 10 hospitals in Australia; Latin America included 5 hospitals and 55 clinics including Brazil’s largest HMO with 750,000 subscribers, a 150 bed private hospital in Panama; a management contract for the restructuring of the 1650 bed Singapore General Hospital; a commissioning and management contract for the King Fahad National Guard Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, (the first non-US Military hospital to be JCAH accredited outside the United States);  and the longest standing recruitment contract in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  Hospital Corporation of America sold the international company to several buyers in 1989 after they elected to go private.

Mr. Marston’s previous experience was with Vanderbilt University and Medical Center where he was the Director of Employment and Recruitment and Deputy Director of Human Resources.

Prior to joining Vanderbilt, he was responsible for the training and administration of the 400 bed Twelfth Evacuation Hospital located in Cu Chi, Republic of Vietnam.

Mr. Marston holds a Bachelors Degree from Tennessee Technological University; a Certificate in Healthcare Administration from the Academy of Health Service; and a Ph.D. in Management from California Western University. Mr. Marston is an Accredited Executive in Personnel; a member of the American Society for Personnel Administration, the Employment Management Assoc., the American Compensation Assoc., the American Management Assoc., the Institute of Directors, Omicron Delta Kappa Foundation, and the Society of International Business Fellows.  He has served as a Lecturer at the Academy of Health Sciences and the American College of Healthcare Executives.  Mr. Marston has served as a consultant for various organizations and the U.S. Government.
