What brought you to Nashville?
A hidden gem of a company – PureSafety, a name you will hear a lot more of in the coming years. They offered me a position as their Chief Technology Officer.
What is your favorite venue to go to in Nashville?
The zoo since my 3 year old daughter has so much fun there.
What surprised you most about our city?
The number of hockey fans and a surprisingly wide variety of quality international cuisine.

| How does the Technology Community here compare to where you lived previously?
There is a lot of talent in the city and a good work ethic. Nashville is also a good place to attract talent from the surrounding areas. It might be too early for me to comment on this, but I think the technology community has an opportunity to better organize and work together and the educational system could be more fine-tuned towards technical careers. Do you have any recommendations for other technologists who are new to the area?
I encourage them to join and support the Nashville Technology Council and help organize ourselves for the future. There is no reason why Nashville cannot replicate the Research Triangle Park concept that has proved so successful (and resilient even in this economy) for the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. |
