Jamie Etheridge

Jamie Etheridge is the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the State of Tennessee.  Her primary responsibilities in this position are to direct information technology planning, procurement, security, policies and standards for Tennessee state government.  With over 20 years of experience in state government, she has contributed to the quality of information technology in Tennessee state government through her work as chair of the multi-disciplinary committee that reviews and approves all State information technology projects.  Tennessee has received national recognition for its Information Technology Planning.

 Mrs. Etheridge has held various positions within State government including MIS Director/Budget and Fiscal Officer; Quality Assurance Consultant; Quality Assurance Director; and Executive Director of Enterprise Policy and Planning.  She has most recently been appointed to serve on the Tennessee Recovery Act Management team, which will manage the Federal Government’s stimulus grant to the State.

 As Executive Director for Enterprise Security Policy, she has led in the development of recommended foundational security policy adopted by the State’s Information Systems Council (ISC); and directed the development and implementation of the State’s Acceptable Use Policy.  She also serves on the Integrated Criminal Justice (ICJ) Steering Committee.

 Mrs. Etheridge received a B.A. from Samford University and an M.B.A. from Middle Tennessee State University.
