In 2006, Andy Flatt began his current role as SVP and CIO for HealthSpring, Inc. Previously, he was CIO for AIM Healthcare Services during which tenure AIM was recognized globally for early large-scale IP telephony adoption and for large scale transactional database development. Flatt’s 25 year career includes serving in technology management roles at HCA and Baptist Hospital. As co-founder of MIQS, Inc., Flatt worked with early electronic medical records pioneers and systems that received international acclaim. He began his career as a software developer of business and clinical systems for Dialysis Clinic, Inc. and served his alma mater, Lipscomb University, as adjunct faculty member for nine years. Flatt is currently serving as Board Chair for the Nashville Technology Council. He is also the chair of the Lipscomb University Information Technology Advisory Board, member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and currently serves on the Board of the Tennessee Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. Past appointments include CIO Executive Summit Governing Body and Medic (now Misys) Advisory Board.
Chris Sloan advises clients on a wide variety of intellectual property, software, technology, e-commerce and Internet law issues. Chris has extensive experience in trademark and copyright protection and licensing, patent and technology licensing, and software licensing. He counsels many of the firm’s e-commerce and technology clients on matters such as web site liability, domain name disputes, electronic contracting and Internet privacy concerns. Chris also represents many of the firm’s health care clients in software licensing, development and implementation issues. He was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2008 for his information technology law practice. In the entertainment law sector, Chris represents several book publishers, music publishers, songwriters, and producers in connection with a variety of domestic and foreign publishing and licensing matters. Chris also represents a local television station, and has provided advice in connection with the production of several television shows, including licensing of domestic and foreign broadcast and home video rights.
Dr. Glenn Acree is the Mathematics Professor at Belmont University, with primary responsibilities in the areas of assessment, engaged learning and advancement. At Belmont, Dr. Acree has served as Director of Academic and Community Outreach and Undergraduate Research for the College of Arts and Sciences since 2001. Dr. Acree received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Emory University, a M.S. from Georgia State University, and his B.A. from Samford University, with additional graduate study at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to his appointment to the Belmont University faculty in 1997, Dr. Acree was on the faculty at Wake Forest University. He has also been employed by Aspect Communications of Brentwood as a software engineer. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Nashville Technology Council and has served with numerous community organizations in Franklin, Tennessee. |
