The annual awards gala honors Middle Tennessee’s technology companies, leaders and innovators. Last Year’s event was sold out and this year we are expecting even more demand as the program continues to grow each year. Over 400 attendees gather each year for this night of celebration, food, and entertainment. The 2011 Technology Awards Gala will feature a “red carpet” entrance, VIP reception, dinner and the presentation of 12 prestigious awards. We will be back at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center this year.

Travis Graham is the CTO of Sitemason, Inc. and joined the company in 2002. Prior to Sitemason, Graham worked at Telalink with several Sitemason founders and held a variety of technical positions at other companies throughout Nashville. At Sitemason, he leads Sitemason’s mobile apps division.
In the recent years, Graham played an instrumental role in the company completing a number of recent initiatives. In 2007, well before “cloud computing” became a major buzz word, Sitemason became one of the first software service providers to fully move its operations to “the cloud” when its platform was migrated to Amazon’s EC2 service. In 2008, Sitemason developed a comprehensive PHP-based template developer library for the Sitemason CMS, which significantly lowers the development time and cost typically associated with complex websites. In 2009, Graham created Sitemason’s first mobile app platform, which integrated iOS apps with the Sitemason CMS. This approach ties the app directly with the customer’s CMS, allowing text, events, photos, videos, and other content updates to occur within Sitemason and then get published directly to an iOS app.
Some of Graham’s accomplishments and interests outside of Sitemason include:
- At the age of thirteen, started building PCs from surplus components and sold them from his parents’ basement
- Has worked with the Internet long enough to remember what “Trumpet Winsock” was and created his first website in 1996.
- Graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Engineering (BA, Computer Science) in 2002
- Restores and repairs various icons from the early 1980s including classic coin-operated arcade games and DeLorean automobiles; he currently hold the top Google and Bing hit for “DeLorean restoration”
Winn Schwartau is an expert on security, privacy, infowar, cyber-terrorism and related topics . He is known not only for his trademark mustache and appearances at Defcon but also his provocative and original ideas that make audiences think, wonder and understand highly technical security subjects. He has written more than a dozen works on security topics. In other words, Schwartau attempts to make the importance of information security accessible to the average person. In 2002, he was honored as a “Power Thinker” and one of the 50 most powerful people in networking by Network World. Mr. Holland is Founder, President, and CEO of centresource, Inc., a Nashville, TN-based Web Interactive Agency. centresource is a full-service Interactive Agency assisting organizations that need to gain or maintain competitive advantage on the web or through mobile. They provide clients four essential services: strategy, creative, development, and on-going analytics. Notable areas of expertise include User Experience Design, Social Media, Web Applications, Content Management Systems, Flash, Pay-per-click, and Search Engine Optimization.
Under Mr. Holland’s direction, centresource has experienced impressive revenue growth, is a leader in its market and has been the recipient of a number of awards, including the Nashville Business Journal’s “Best in Business” award in the Emerging Business category (2006) and Goldline Research’s “10 Most Dependable Web Design Firms in the Central/Southern United States” (2007, 2008). The Nashville Chamber of Commerce selected centresource as a “Future 50” in 2008, 2009, and 2010, recognizing them as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in the city. Centresource also achieved noteriety in 2010 as .NET Magazine named them one of the top 3 design agencies in the world.
In 2004, Mr. Holland was recognized as one of Tennessee’s “30 under 30” leaders by Business Tennessee, and in 2006 he received the Young Entrepreneur Award from the Nashville Business Journal. He also received a Tech 20 Award from the Nashville Technology Council for being one of the city’s 20 most influential technology business leaders. In 2007, the Nashville Chamber of Commerce awarded Mr. Holland the prestigious “Nashville Emerging Leader Award” in Technology. In 2010, Nicholas helped create JumpStart Foundry, a progressive microfund dedicated to helping entrepreneurs turn their ideas into a reality.
Mr. Holland is an accomplished speaker and expert commentator on technology trends. His articles have appeared in a number of publications, including the Nashville Medical News and the Nashville Business Journal. Active in community and business organizations, Mr. Holland serves on the Boards of the Better Business Bureau, Nashville Technology Council, and Nashville Chapter of the American Marketing Association (NAMA). He is an active member of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, and serves as a CEO Champion for Nashville public education.
Mr. Holland graduated from Tulane University with a double major in Finance and Information Systems. At Tulane, he received the Dean’s Selection for Most Outstanding Student and was the Student Body President of the A.B. Freeman School of Business.

Dr. John Doulis, Department of Biomedical Informatics, Vanderbilt University
Dr. John Doulis assumed the role of Assistant Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs and Chief Operations Officer
of the Informatics Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in October 2005. In this role, he is the
single point of focus for the Informatics Center’s efforts to provide the most effective information technology
infrastructure to meet the needs of the diverse operating units that make up the medical center, including the
information systems, software engineering, technological integration and network services. The scope of
this infrastructure encompasses Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s education, research, and health
care missions.

Murray State University’s Telecommunications Systems Management (TSM) will host four CyberCave Academy summer camps, three 1st Year Camps and a 2nd Year Camp. This will be the seventh year that the summer academies are being held; the excitement and popularity of the camps continues to grow more and more each year. Last year campers had the chance to meet other students from 51 different schools among seven states: Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, Missouri, Indiana, Maryland, and Ohio. There were a total of 65 students who attended the four camps, 18 of them in the 2nd Year Camp.
The following are the dates for the 2011 CyberCave Academies:
