How long have you been in business in Nashville?
We have been serving our clients in Nashville and throughout Tennessee and into surrounding states for 12 years. During the first quarter of this year we expanded our physical presence into Memphis.
What does your company or organization do best?
Our group offers the ability to integrate scalable projects and a predictable financial IT investment for clients. Our niche services include assisting in verifying IT regulatory requirements while building their network to provide as much “up time” as possible. From our experience working within the healthcare and financial markets, we have become experts in security, disaster recovery, and high availability. We have strong, positive relationships with all of our clients which enable us to better assess their needs.
What is one interesting fact about your company?
Traditionally, IT providers are a “break-fix” model, which relies (and expects) on clients having IT problems and frustrations. Alternatively, our focus is on proactive management and strategic planning. Unlike many IT service providers, we focus on providing support systems that require LESS interaction between the IT partner and client – allowing face to face visits to be strategic in nature as opposed to reactive.
What new technology product or service are you the most excited about?
Advanced Network Solutions is extremely excited about the new addition of the LifeSize solution we recently introduced. LifeSize is affordable video conferencing technology which delivers our industry’s only complete range of high-definition video conferencing systems. By providing this solution for businesses we are able to aid in satisfying a very human need for “face-to-face” interaction. As we know, people understand each other better when able to see and hear one another thus people seek more direct communications. We have found phone calls and email are great tools, however can lack the richness and non-verbal cues we get in a live conversation. We are excited to see more of this technology helping our clients cut costs and save time.
Who is the most interesting person you have ever met?
I have met many interesting people but one interesting person that I have met is my business partner, Keith Maune. Keith, 27, is a technical whiz and to have such expertise at a young age is invaluable. He challenges me as a leader, an administrator and as a technical advisor. His presence on our team gives us a comparative advantage over competitors, while his enthusiasm for technical systems keeps the integrity of our offering true to form. I am very fortunate to work side-by-side with him.
