Social Networks can be anti-social for your computer

SOCIAL NETWORKS CAN BE ANTI-SOCIAL FOR YOUR COMPUTER
Don’t let bad apps or bad people into your life by sharing too much

One of the biggest growth areas for Facebook in the past year is with the baby boomers that have found that the social network site allows old friends back into their lives. A Nashville company wants you to think about whom Facebook is allowing into your computer that may negatively impact your life. iNet Strategy has been providing IT solutions to businesses for the past decade but founder and CEO Robert Morris has become alarmed lately at what he has seen on Facebook that can cause people problems. “I saw an old acquaintance on Facebook and among his pictures was a copy of his driver’s license that had been scanned” Morris commented recently. “That’s an extreme instance of opening yourself up, but there are many ways that Facebook opens up your computer to intruders. People are also unsure about the privacy/security settings on Facebook.” The IT solutions firm for businesses figured that they had the expertise to help with the problem.

iNet Strategy has now made its Live Support service available to the public. The support service was formerly just to aid their many business clients, but now the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner is helping people figure out what in the world wide web has gotten into their lives. With Facebook being a “social” network people are tempted to be open and sociable with information that they share but there will always be those waiting to take advantage. Morris says that some of the fun and games that people enjoy can be anything but fun and games if the wrong person is on the other side of the connection. “Some of the fan applications for sports teams or enhancements to games that are played on the platform are nothing but ways for people with bad intentions to get into your computer” says Morris. Through the iNet Strategy website the company has live support representatives available to help. “If your shortcut to get your barn built has made your whole computer run slower, then you might need our help to fix the problem,” says the CEO. Experienced computer technicians are available on line to remotely fix any of your computer problems from spyware, viruses, security issues or just helping you figure out how to make your Facebook account more secure from leaking your personal data and information. You will only pay for the time that techs are actually working on your machine. The service can be reached at www.inetstrategy.com and clicking on the “chat with a live agent” icon or you can leave a message and arrange for a representative to get back to you at a convenient time.

Your computer and the various on-line services can open up a world of possibilities for you. Don’t let those same services open up your computer to the world of bad guys out there. Safeguard your personal information with help from the IT experts at iNet Strategy,

Who is the most interesting person you have ever met?
I was able to spend some time with one of my heroes, Arnold Palmer. To speak with someone known for his outstanding character, generosity, and for making an incredibly successful career doing something he loved was inspiring. It was a pleasure to meet someone who has found so much success and still remains a man of great humility.

An Interview with AccuImage, LLC.

John Bybee
Account Executive
AccuImage, LLC.

How long have you been in business in Nashville?

In 1996, AccuImage, LLC was founded as a business process consulting firm specializing in document and content management. We have evolved into a provider of integrated solutions that empowers our customers to gain the maximum value from their critical business information at every point in the information lifecycle. We specializes in the design, installation and support of document and content management, forms processing, automated workflow, invoice processing and data collection solutions. We value our cross-industry experience, having extensive design and implementation experience within financial services companies, manufacturing, retail, distribution, healthcare, government, accounts payable/accounts receivable, human resources, and a variety of specialized industries – both regionally and nationally.

What does your company or organization do best?

Our strong suite is the ability to provide our clients unparalleled insight on ways to efficiently capture, store and manage business-critical information. As a cutting-edge consultancy and systems integrator, we provide turnkey, proven solutions that maximize business productivity. Our team continually rises to the challenge of delivering best-of-breed strategies and solutions. We do this by keeping apprised of the latest and most successful business process improvement practices and by maintaining strategic partnerships with industry-leading information management vendors.

What is one interesting fact about your company?

In addition to being a business process consulting firm, we also have a division that provides a wide range of printing and marketing solutions/services. Within that division, we have several print specialists that work with clients to determine the best artists, suppliers and printers for each individual project. Since we work so closely with numerous area vendors, we can easily determine the best fit and negotiate the best prices for our clients. The value we bring is the ability to manage the entire process and provide the most cost-effective solution to our clients.

What new technology product or service are you the most excited about?

Over the past several months, we have added two innovative solutions to our product suite. One, Cabinet NG is a solution that offers a radical departure from traditional document management software. This product transforms time-consuming manual filing processes into a digital filing environment that is incredibly intuitive and simple to use. It also allows users to develop robust workflows, establish document retention policies and create and use e-forms without requiring custom programming. We’re excited that with Cabinet NG we can now bring the advantages of full-featured document and content management to the SMB market. Another product we are bringing to the Nashville market is SimplifyMD. SimplifyMD is an alternative to the traditional, legacy EMR products currently on the market. This product will allow us to provide an affordable method for physician practices to replace paper medical charts and obtain many of the benefits associated with more cumbersome, complex, and costly EMR systems. The brilliance of this product is that it focuses on eliminating paper charts which provides an immediate return on investment for physician’s practices. Once we’ve eliminated the need to create, file, store and retrieve physical patient files, we eliminate a huge labor cost for the practice. Physicians are already facing tight margins so this cost savings has an immediate impact.

Who is the most interesting person you have ever met?

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet several celebrities and high-level executives. Even though meeting those people were quite an experience, the one person that made a long-lasting impression was a college professor of mine. Ms. Gail Newton oversaw the business department at Martin Methodist College and taught several of the business degree courses. As a college basketball player, sometimes you seem to get lost in the shuffle of things regarding your education and which classes you need for your degree. After my first semester, I found myself in this situation and thankfully, Ms. Newton was there to help and provide the guidance I needed to complete my education. With her assistance, I was able to graduate a semester early! With her willingness to help, I found myself in her office asking for advice and opinion’s all the time. Ms. Newton always made the time no matter what her schedule was like.
