About the Health Care Privacy and Security Summit:
The purpose of this half day event is to develop a whitepaper that will address how the health care
community can ensure that data is private and secure even when it is not under their control. It will be
followed by a series of round table discussions. The Health Care Privacy and Security Summit will
focus on how organizations remain in compliance with HITECH, HIPAA, and other legislation when
their electronic records are shared with partners.

Speakers:
The Summit will feature keynote speaker Adam Greene, a former HHS regulator and a nationally-
recognized authority on the topic, followed by a panel moderated by Greg Bell, KPMG’s Global Service
Leader for Information Protection, and close with round table discussions facilitated by experts in this area.

Other panelists include Bob Chaput, MA, CISSP, CHP, CHSS, MCSE CEO & Founder of Clearwater
Compliance, Bill Dieringer, AVP, CISO at Ardent Health Services and  Kyle Duke, CISO at HealthSpring.

Details:
Due to the ever increasing digitization, integration and sharing of health care information, health care
companies are struggling with how to remain in compliance with HITECH, HIPAA, and other legislation
when their electronic records are shared with partners.  How do these companies ensure that their partners
are in compliance?  Would an approach similar to PCI standards work for health care?

The summit will bring together experts from health care, auditing, standards, and compliance organizations
to discuss these issues and develop a whitepaper containing best practices and recommendations.
