Quotes from those Involved
“Belmont University is proud to be part of this new partnership between the academic and business community. We are eager to continue to take a leadership role in this effort through which we all strive to raise awareness in the student community (of the many opportunities in technology related careers), enhance our technology related academic programs (to more closely match the needs of the technology sector), and provide career opportunities to meet the workforce needs of Middle Tennessee. The T3 initiative provides an opportunity for collaboration, which will benefit many students throughout the Middle Tennessee community, as well as the participating technology related businesses.”
Glenn Acree, Assistant Provost, Belmont
“Today, there is a disconnect between the supply of technology students into and out of local higher education and the demand that exists in the Middle Tennessee business community. In order to ensure my company’s future success, I rely on bringing in skilled technicians. With the help of this initiative, finding those resources locally will help businesses reduce acquisition costs and make it more likely that the employee will be retained for a longer period.”
