We host a number of events throughout the year, including:
- Monthly Technology Roundtable sessions that cover current technology topics and trends
- Marquee annual events: InfoSec, TechNashville, and Innovation Conferences
- Periodic entrepreneur programs and special interest groups

3. Education and Workforce Development
- We offer training for IT professionals and roundtables on industry best practices and on current IT trends and innovations.
- We are reaching out to connect and collaborate with universities and employers to develop an internship program.
- We have started two IT Academies and are working with local area schools to develop volunteer opportunities for companies and technology refresh programs.
- We have recently launched a Career Center, which contains resume submission and job opportunity features.
4. Advocacy and Influence
Our Council – members, staff, and board – provides a common voice for technology trends, issues, and opportunities in our region, state, and nation. Through our collective efforts, we can positively influence and impact tech-related initiatives, attract tech-oriented businesses to our city, and grow technology jobs. The NTC is one voice for technology.
What is the Nashville Technology Council doing that helps Technology Companies to succeed?
- Being a knowledgeable and credible source and representative of the industry to the media to help position Nashville and Nashville tech companies as viable players in the new economy
- Creating opportunities that make it possible for local tech companies to tap the wealth of knowledge available to Nashville tech businesses through our local educational institutions
- Representing the local tech business community to our government departments and officials, helping them understand the issues that matter to us and what government can do to remove the barriers to tech company growth
- Promoting the need for the Chamber and Partnership 2010 to recruit more tech companies to Nashville and supporting their efforts in this arena by drawing on the experience and knowledge of our member companies
- Establishing and operating the first-ever angel investor network for Middle Tennessee to ensure that when our members need access to capital, there is a mechanism in place that can make that access quick and easy
- Working on improving the tech workforce in Middle Tennessee through coordinated activities including tech employers, educators, and the chamber—a number of initiatives are underway.
