Robert O. Carr, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Heartland Payment Systems
Bob started his career at Parkland College in Champaign, IL, at the age of 21. After serving as a professor, president of the college’s faculty and director of its computer center, he moved to the Bank of Illinois and then started a software and consulting business for small and mid-sized businesses.
In 1997, Bob co-founded Heartland Payment Systems with Heartland Bank. Under his guidance, Heartland has been named a FORTUNE 1000 company, climbed from #61 to #5 in the nation and #9 in the world; from 25 to 2,900 employees; from 2,500 to 250,000 client locations and from a portfolio of $0.4 billion in bankcard volume to more than $80 billion.
Michael Davis, Hacking Exposed; CEO of Savid Technologies
Michael A. Davis is the CEO of Savid Technologies, a technology and security consulting firm based in Chicago. Savid specializes in security risk assessments, compliance and secure enterprise network design.
Michael is also author of a new book, Hacking Exposed: Malware and Rootkits, and a contributing author to Hacking Exposed, the No. 1 book on hacker methodology. He is a senior member of the HoneyNet project, where he is working to develop data and network control mechanisms for Windows-based honeynets. Michael is also an active developer in the open
source community and has ported to the Windows platform many popular network security applications, including the Snort intrusion detection system, honeyd, dsniff and ngrep.
Before founding Savid, Michael worked with McAfee, a leader in antivirus protection and vulnerability management, as senior manager of global threats, where he led a team performing confidential and cutting-edge security research. He has also worked for other tech companies, including 3Com, and managed two Internet service providers.

Rohyt Belani, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of the Intrepidus Group
Rohyt Belani is a Managing Partner and co-founder of the Intrepidus Group. Prior to founding the Intrepidus Group, Rohyt started and ran Mandiant’s New York City operations. During the last 7 years, he has worked at premier information security organizations like Foundstone and the US-CERT.
Rohyt is a regular speaker at various industry conferences, including Black Hat, OWASP, Hack-In-The-Box, InfoSec World, and several forums catering to the FBI and US Secret Service agents. He currently teaches a class at Carnegie Mellon University, and has been invited to guest lecture at the University of Wisconsin on the topic of information security.
He is a contributing author for Osborne’s Hack Notes – Network Security, as well as Addison Wesley’s Extrusion Detection: Security Monitoring for Internal Intrusions. As an industry expert he has opined on security issues via columns for online publications like SecurityFocus and SC magazine, and radio interviews with BBC.
Rohyt holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from Bombay University and a Masters in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University. He currently leads the OWASP Java Project a world-wide consortium of Java security experts. He has achieved the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
Chris King, Director of Product Marketing, Palo Alto Networks
Chris King is director of product marketing for Palo Alto Networks. Previously, Mr. King held strategic and product marketing roles at Blue Coat Systems, including responsibility for marketing and strategy for MACH5, Blue Coat’s application acceleration solution – which he launched and helped grow to a $160 million/year business. Prior to joining Blue Coat in June of 2004, Mr. King spent over 8 years as an information technology analyst for META Group. An internationally recognized expert on information security, Mr. King has consulted with hundreds of large IT organizations, spoken before a variety of audiences, and is often quoted in trade and business press. Before META Group, Mr. King managed an international network for Securities Registration Depository, and was employed by Ernst & Young. Mr. King holds a B.A. from George Mason University.
Robert Griffin, Director of Technical Marketing, RSA
Robert Griffin is Director of Technical Marketing at RSA, the Security Division of EMC, where he is responsible for standards and strategy across the RSA portfolio of products. He is well known in the industry as an expert in cryptography and key management, particularly as co-chair of the OASIS Key Management Interoperability Protocol technical committee. He also works extensively in virtualization security and governance, risk and compliance. Mr. Griffin has more than 25 years experience in the computer industry, including as architect for a number of software projects and IT deployments. He is also a frequenter presenter in both industry and academic forums.
Kane Keeling, Endpoint Account Manager – Southeast, Check Point Software Technologies LTD
Kane Keeling is in a strategic role with Check Point Software Technologies where his primary goal is to increase mind and market share in the Endpoint Security market where Check Point has been traditionally seen as a firewall vendor…now a robust Total Security company. With 5 years in Security and a B.S. in Business Management from Georgia Tech, Kane has been recognized for an innate ability to identify, connect, and drive both technical and business initiatives for customers and VAR’s, from C-Level to admin. Kane’s key role in Check Point leads Endpoint Security messaging and revenue in the Southeast that includes 6 states and the Caribbean. Prior to joining the Check Point team, Kane led Identity & Access Management initiatives for Hitachi. Kane is based in Atlanta where he has lived since 1989.
Matthew O. Webb, Engagement Manager and Senior Consultant, Ingenuity Associates, LLC
Matthew, who has nearly 10 years of leadership experience in IT and information security, is helping establish a security practice that has quickly garnered the attention of IT and business leaders throughout the southeast. After many years with private and public enterprises, Matthew has been able to build a unique and extensive background in security and regulatory compliance where he applies his capabilities as an industry leader and consultant. Prior to joining Ingenuity, Matthew has served in a variety of IT roles. In his most recent position, he was Senior Consulting Engineer in Information Security for a large Fortune 100 healthcare company based in Nashville. HIs responsibilities ranged from systems security audits with an emphasis on regulatory requirements to project initiatives where his systems and critical thinking abilities enabled him to effectively build and implement a disciplined approach to self audits for PCI compliance and establish a Breach Notification process to address response times and improve the accuracy of those who were impacted. Matthew’s technical background has also made him effective in several Threat and Vulnerability Management scenarios. Whether profiling application characteristics using behavior based NetFlow data or executing on standard incident response plans for digital forensics and e-Evidence collection Matthew has shown that both his technical and leadership skills are indispensable in a variety of situations. Matthew has found himself helping to advance Ingenuity’s security practice through advising IT and business executives on the value of using a process driven approach to perform detailed requirements gathering and technology selection. Recent consulting engagements have found Matthew planning, organizing and managing multiple datacenter migrations as well as enhancing disaster recovery for local clients Over the course of his career, Matthew has earned several professional certifications, established himself as an expert in several areas of legal and regulatory compliance and now finds more demands on his time to present and teach on information security in a process driven environment.
